An Introduction from Mark

An opportunity to meet within the oneness of like-minded people using Brainspotting in their areas of speciality for a deep co-consultation process. The group is lovingly facilitated by  Mark Grixti, Psychologist and Brainspotting Trainer, to further develop your confidence and creativity in the theory, technique and transcendence in healing.

When we mindfully remove some of the parameters that have restricted the full power of natural healing, we seek to allow and enhance the unobstructed divinity of being a person and the limitless capabilities therein.  When we have a group that can convene to embody these values then the power is amplified to create something exciting, unique, inspirational, liberating and simply divine.

Taking your Brainspotting practice to the next level

When you are working in the field of healing and therapy it can be as challenging as it is enriching.

When you take training in Brainspotting and begin to see the immense power of deep subcortical and embodied relational processing. You now have an incredibly powerful approach to integrate into your existing skill set which is exciting and at times perplexing.

In these groups Mark welcomes and brings an approach that is compassionate, interpersonal, authentic, somatic, neurobiological, philosophical, spiritual, curious, and kind.

He has been a practising Clinical Psychologist for over 20 years working and leading teams both in the NHS and private practice and across services including; adult in/out patient, specialist child services, family therapy, learning disabilities, and performance work.

Mark is a university lecturer and Senior Brainspotting Trainer based in the UK and working Internationally. He has presented at numerous conferences, hosts an exceptional Podcast and has various publications.

    What should I expect out of these sessions?

    Groups are kept small for this consultation. Sessions are once a month for a duration of 6 months and each session is 1.5 hours. All sessions are recorded to re-watch if you should need to miss one. Group attendance certificate issued on closing.

    For certification you will require 1:1 supervision which can run alongside the group if this suits.

    Some great questions we discuss in these sessions include:

    • How can I work most effectively with dissociation?
    • How can I best engage and facilitate processing with clients on the autistic spectrum?
    • Can we use BSP to shift physical pain?
    • What’s happening in the client’s brain when they are processing deeply?
    • Why do I feel these feelings in my body when I am Brainspotting with a client and what can I do with it?
    • How can i use BSP to take my practice to the next level of healing?

    Meet the Trainer

    Dr. Mark Grixti

    UK and International Brainspotting Trainer

    Mark is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist, systemic therapist and EMDR consultant based in Sussex, United Kingdom.

    Mark is a Master UK and International Brainspotting Trainer. His work in the field spans all ages and both online and in person approaches, all of which he brings to rich and diverse BSPUK Trainings.

    He is also an experienced Consultant in Brainspotting offering consultation also known as supervision in the UK, including online group consultation, which is popular for its richness in theory, diversity and its clinical application.

    He is qualified and experienced in child, family and adult therapy. Mark specialises in attachment, abuse, and complex trauma.

    He is a University lecturer, facilitates group programs and supervises Clinical Psychologists and therapists from related disciplines. He also provides consultation to Health, Education, Media and Social Care institutions.  Mark has a range of publications, as well as his successful podcast, Awe In Trauma.
